								| In a stunning upset today, the mighty chihawk fell to the tiny Mordel in combat. We each had 4000 bv to spend on 4 mechs which were brought onto the board one at a time.

Here is the breakdown and the order in which they were brought in:

 Mordel: 4009 bv

 |
 chihawk: 4010 bv

 |

 Fireball ALM-7D: 4G/5P

 |
 Spider SDR-5V: 4G/5P

 |

 Mongoose MON-76: 4G/5P

 |
 Hermes HER-1A: 4G/5P

 |

 Urbanmech UM-R60: 4G/5P

 |
 Spider SDR-5V: 4G/5P

 |

 Pillager PLG-4Z: 4G/5P

 |
 Marauder II MAD-4A: 2G/5P

 |

It was a close battle until my Mongoose shredded armor off of his Marauder!!
I'm sure he'll complain about something, but at least he did lose gracefully. _________________

								| I did not choose my mechs wisely, relying on a better gunner on my last mech to win. Bad choice. Mordel's dice were better than mine, and he played a far superior technical battle than I.
One I could have easily overcome, 2 would have been a difficult task, but all 3 made an unwinable situation for me.

I take my hat off to Mordel--you won this time. But you still need another 35 or 40 wins to come close to breaking even.

BTW, Mordel is taunting me as I post this at his house...I deserve it though.

At least we have cold beer, so it's not a total loss

								| Not exactly the most evenly-balanced of forces, I gotta say. Medium mechs, anyone? Hello? Hello?

								| We each had about...oh, 30 seconds to pick.
Mordel wants a Pillager, which doesn't leave a whole lot of BV for the other 3 mechs. Knowing that I took an assault with a lower gunner (something Mordel didn't even consider), which didn't leave a whole lot of BV for my other mechs.

We usually use a much better mix of mechs, with amuch different result

And BTW Old Dog, Hardware has 3 dogs--and I'm certain you'd love them all

								| We're bringing Gage up when we come up from the 30th to the 5th. Bemmy is coming along too. chance is going to stay at home and guard Chateau Conrad with some help from Kathy's mom.
I'm pretty sure my dogs would like Old Dog too.

								| Congrats Mordel! Can you post a battle analysis of the fight? i'd like to see what you did to defeat Chihawk.
