What ideas for sonic based weapons would work in BT? _________________ Karagin Only the dead have seen the end of war. - Plato

Just saying that the idea is pre-existing in part. you could build an anti-infantry gun around an up scaled stunner.
I do not see much practical application beyond that though other than to scare this shit out of a target. Aerofighter performing a strafing run with a sonic cannon. New variant of the Banshee, lol. _________________ one must work hard to cultivate the mind and body. and one must always cultivate the mind.

Well, i could imagine something like sonic stun pulse generator. A 2 crit, 2 ton device that paralyzes unprotected infantry in surrounding hexes. Or flashbang ammo for ACs that would stun infantry unit it hits for one round if you roll X+ on 2d6 (based on AC class of course). _________________ The dragon NEVER sleeps!

Thing is, the books make reference to water cannons (I'm guessing .5 tons for the sprayer and .5 tons for the tank, as they've been described as being able to substitute for flamers or medium lasers), but beyond that the game doesn't offer any sort of non-lethal anti-personnel weaponry.
Given that several mechs - like the Urbanmech, Enforcer, Vulcan, and Wyvern - were specifically created for urban combat and police work, this is a rather critical oversight. _________________ "I wish I could write as mysterious as a cat." -Edgar Allen Poe"I knew there was something special about you, but I never realized you were really a cat."
