I figured that I'd make this one a skirmisher.
By dropping the machine guns in favor of jump jets, I've given the mech the ability to leap in and out of the combat area. I chose to keep the PPCs as the main weapons due to their punch and their not needing any energy, and so went with doubles in order to help vent the heat.
Endo (making this a factory mod) allowed me to drop in a pair of SRM 4s and a small laser for increased in-close punch.
