Overview:
Although many Arrow IV artillery systems were lost for years, upon their reemergence, most forces focused on building them into BattleMechs and heavy vehicles. However, this system was not always the most efficient methodology for the deployment of heavy artillery.
In examining methods to deploy these missiles, House Liao turned to a fairly old concept: Strategic Rocket Forces. Specialized infantry squads would be deployed with light vehicles purpose built around the Arrow IV system. The units would then be deployed at lance strength, with some additional defenses included, such as mechanized infantry.
These forces would then deploy far from a battle field, and, while maintaining mobility, they would proceed to launch strikes using the Arrow IV system.
This deployment system is far more affordable, only costing roughly 600,000 C-Bills for the unit itself. A highly trained infantry squad only costs another few thousand C-Bills as well. Further, a BattleMech that was meant to carry an Arrow IV system can now use other weapons, and engage the enemy head on where BattleMechs are needed.
The deployment of Liao Strategic Rocket Forces has been a quiet change in operations. Capital Missiles are now being rolled out that will be able to have command, control, and launch facilities in the field run by infantry forces. These systems have been put into operation on a number of worlds, and are also being sold to the Magistry of Canopus and Taurian Concordat.

There is a small issue, the weight of the Arrow IV with 2 tons of ammo the 10 shots you listed means no infantry bay, I am using HMVEE and unless something has changed the infantry bay is not going to work out.

Okay the big difference between our two models is that you have a larger engine then I have...
Now, as a wheeled vehicle I calculated engine as:
Base Engine Rating = Vehicle Tonnage x Desired Cruising MP
Base Engine Rating = 25 x 2
Base Engine Rating = 50
You have this as your engine size in what you posted, which as an ICE engine, weighs in at 3 tons.
However. According to TechManual, a Wheeled Vehicle has a suspension factor of 20. So...
Final Engine Rating = Base Engine Rating - Suspension Factor
Final Engine Rating = 50 - 20
Final Engine Rating = 30
Which is the engine rating I have, which as an ICE engine, weights in at 2 tons.
This is from Page 100, TechManual, "Step 2: Install Engines and Control Systems."
Did you have any thoughts on the vehicle itself? I thought it was kind of neat to have a missile truck!

The idea is different enough to cause some folks a headache or two. But I don't see them losing sleep over it once they have encountered it once or twice.
I will double check the stats and re-enter them again, maybe if the vehicle was a hover craft it might be more of a pain in the neck and cause folks to wonder about where it would show up next. _________________ Karagin Only the dead have seen the end of war. - Plato

Well, it certainly isn't fast and can't take much punishment, but otherwise why not? _________________ The dragon NEVER sleeps!

Well the idea is that it is hidden some where, fires off a few rounds, and moves someplace else staying on back roads and out of site. Sure, I could have made it better in a number of ways (hover for higher speed, etc etc)...
... but to be honest... it kind of feels more real this way! Like something you'd expect to lumber off of a manufacturing line. Dirt cheap too!
And that is what I like about it. It is an ultra cheap artillery piece that can be deployed with far less pain and suffering then, say, a BattleMech mounting an Arrow IV system.
Of course, if it is found.. it is toast! But I don't think someone would be able to find it in 100 seconds, and that is all the time it needs. Then if there is a high probability of being found, everyone dismounts and runs away to hide in the trees, or in a cave, and then they buy a new one later.
I don't know, it just strikes me as something the Cappies would deploy.
And nothing says cool like having Strategic Rocket Forces infantry...

Well, I'd probably try to reach 4/6 (able to keep up with medium and heavies on the road) speed profile and one more ton of armour, but otherwise it would be just like that _________________ The dragon NEVER sleeps!
