I am upset by this, and it is still unfolding. Cancel Culture has no place in Battletech. This is just plain and simple crazy. Mr. Pardoe will move on, but his works will be missed.

I wonder how this will effect on the other contracted writers working for CGL?
In my opinion, CGL is saying via their owners aka TOPPS/FANATICS, that if you speak out against current trends or things then you are not welcome or wanted, thus rendering any opinions as wrong unless you are supporting the current thing. Again, my opinion. To me this is a bit hard to run a company were you are trying to appease everyone yet just a few years ago same company, and it's predecessors would allow their buddies to harass fans on many of the forums, but now it's not okay to do that or comment on it...this all is very much an insane moment in time. And as Blaine said, it's basic censorship.
Again this is my opinion, your's may vary and it should or you may agree, which is fine.
We will see if folks vote with their wallets or if they will just carry on and not give two wet farts. It's not like things have gotten better at CGL, deadlines aren't met, stuff doesn't hit the shelves on time. We have seen delays of PDFs, etc...and then this. Come Setpember will be the real test of this move and then we will see what happens after that. _________________ Karagin Only the dead have seen the end of war. - Plato

All I'll say on this topic is that CGL posted a short and brief statement, as most businesses will, because there is only so much they can say without running afoul of legal issues. All the information shared via links is from one side of the incident. So take anything from any one side with a grain of salt. _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

I agree, but what a set of crazy events! Who would have thought anything like this can happen.
