------------------------------------------------------------------------------
==Overview:==
A bizarre vehicle to say the least, the Porcupine is, according to promotional
materials, intended as some sort of seige warfare vehicle. The idea is that if
multiple Porcupines are parked in a single location they'd represent a sort of
wall that could be used against the enemy. The machine guns on all four main
facings would be used to cut down enemy infantry, while the turret-mounted
AC/2 could snipe away at fixed emplacements or infantry carriers.
Notable features to the unit include a built-in toilet and cargo bins scaled
to such things as first aid kits, toiletries, and rations, indeed suggesting
that the unit was meant as some sort of siege warfare unit; these would allow
the crew to remain in the field, albeit somewhat uncomfortably, for a week or
more.
==Variants:==
While the AC/2 was selected for the high number of rounds per ton of ammo,
some commanders are replacing these units in the field with an LRM 10
launcher. The launcher only allows for 12 shots, but can do more damage at a
time.
