==Overview:==
For possibly the first time in decades, Quikscell found themselves having to
do something radical: innovate.
As levels of technology improved and new forms of warfare emerged (such as
powered armor), Quikscell's products quickly began to become obsolete. While
old standards like the APCs and the missile carriers kept going, units such as
the Scorpion and Hetzer started to fall by the wayside as those units who
could afford it chose to purchase vehicles such as the Myrmidon which had more
reliable track records and were better suited to the new ways of war.
In response, a handful of Quikscell's long-time line workers and technicians
approached corporate headquarters with a proposal. They had come up with a
concept urban assault vehicle that used approximately 75% of the Scorpion
components; all they had to do was adapt the frame to a wheeled locomition
system and add room for a complement of infantry or SWAT officers. Quikscell,
realizing that they had little to lose, green-lighted the idea. And thus the
Clampdown was born.

*chuckles* This is what I get for procrastination. I was going to try and make a version of the Rhino from GTA III/Vice City/San Andreas for BattleTech, but this is already very close, and fulfills the main purpose. Urban Combat/SWAT tank. I might recommend dropping to a light AC/5, but I can't recall if those have minimum ranges as well. Might also consider moving the MG to the turret. On the whole, I rather like though.
Then again, I suppose I can look at this as winning less work. 8) _________________ Jarylan Blackwell
