Well, I managed to get my 'Mech to 96 heat this weekend at the convention. Has anyone seen heat that high on a BattleMech before? _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

I was there.
It was funny as hell.
I can't say any more because I'm still laughing. _________________ www.210sportsblog.com

It was a very odd environment. All heat generated was doubled. I had a clan mech that overheated a little to begin with. But, I lost 3 heat sinks, had 1 engine crits (+5 heat) and was infernod (+12 heat).
Throw it all together and I was well over 100 before I dissipated the 30 heat. Then I was at 86 before my ammo bin blew and took out my second engine and brought me up to 96. I did manage to go down 18 because I was shutdown the next turn (damn inferno still causing 12 heat) and was at 78. Then an ammo bin in the other torso cooked off...
The end! _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

Nope, never seen that!
Then again, I have never seen anyone who was running two Warhammers, have both of them destroyed (one self inflicted) in the same hex, either! That is until I saw you do it!

No shit.
I didn't figure I'd need to come up with a rule for force people to duel in a scenario that call on players to, well, duel. _________________ www.210sportsblog.com

Yeah, nicely done, Mordel.
I don't think even the Max Tech "Extended Heat Scale" would've handled that situation. You needed the "Double-Secret Extended Heat Scale". _________________ I'm the guy who laughs at the guy who makes fun of the guy who thinks he's the coolest guy in the room.

Just fill the heat scale and then mark the remaining heat on the back side of your RS. Then start rolling twelves _________________ The dragon NEVER sleeps!

Unfortunately there were a couple GMs who's scenarios were just horrib. I won't name them as I wouldn't want to single you or Horhiro out. _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

Patience is a virtue.
Did he win? Did Nate make mistakes? Then it was a good tactic.
To many players play for the shot, not the position and advantage.
I do remeber in old Solaris rules unless you were in ambush, hiding caused negative points as the fans booed and wanted action.
AWAD- Have some turrets in the Arena open up on him.

there was some horrible luck flying around during the finals, scott had some of that vs me :p
the final match was pretty even but eventually dave won out. i think the only ones paying attention were nate and dave though. most everyone had left by the time it was done _________________ "i'm going to bed, i can't stop falling down"
