II took a look at the Total Warfare book at Origins. I expected a proof but man this was sections just rubber banded together. So it made it very tough to read, let alone skim through.
The paper weight seemed good and heavy with a glossy feel. Should survive well and makes the graphics seem more vibrant. It will be a thick and good sized tome. Not sure how it is organized since it was such a pain to look through.
Main thing is I looked at vehicles and Infantry. Since it was integration that was key. Infantry will have a few more varieties. Overall they will have more range and bite. But far from unbalancing. The vehicle is using a new hit chart so you do not just ping the side armor when you shoot from the side. Look at the motive hit charts but could not tell you much.
They were very protective of the book, (OK collection of pages) which I understand. I really did not get to review it like I wanted. But I am looking forward to its release in a few weeks.
