I just got the updated Gundam Official Guide put out by Animerica Magazine...it seems to indicate that in addition to Char's Counterattack coming out this year, the G Gundam alternate universe series is also supposed to be released here in America this year...
In case you don't remember, this is the series that has beend described as Dragonball Z meets Gundam, with multiple space based Neo nation-states sending a Gundam fighter to Earth to fight in a tournament to determine which nation rules...it has many different styles of Gundams (for those who thought Wing was bad about making them look off the wall, just you wait! ), including a Neo-Sweden's Gundam, the Nobel Gundam, which appears as a distinctly feminine mecha wearing a sailor fuko...and the mecha aren't piloted in the normal manner, but using a "mobile trace system", they mimic the movements of their "pilots", including any martial arts moves they make...
Should prove interesting...

Saw this at Gundam.com last night, actually. And its about bloody time. But what I dont get is why they are doing it so out of order. Where is Z and ZZ? Thats likda, 15 years of timeline we are missing. Anyways, looking foward to Char's Counter Attack, the RX-93 NU Gundam is the coolest thing this side of the GP-03!

The new 1/144ths are already out. I have seen most of them, and the Nobel Gundam is the leas shockimg. How about the Netherland's Gundam, the Windmill! Or the one that is a bell? And BTW...wern't the Gundam designers the same for G and Wing...hence the similarities between G and Wing, Dragon and Shenlong and a few others?
And that reminds me...the newest MG kits, Shining and God Gundams have a new internal frame sys. that allows for more posing than before. Saw some of the stances...they had G Gundam on one leg preparing for a martial arts side kick...pretty cool.
