I just hope you read the topic I started for my mechs (Do you want to rate my mechs)
ALB-5U should drop one ton of armor and install another DHS - it would allow using the weapons as written in fluff on the move, but ...

| I have just read your oher thread and seeing as I still need a few more credits to afford the emblem for that new mordel unit, I'll be rating your other mechs real soon. I rarely ever look at the submissions forums but I'm thinking of dropping by here a little more often.

By the way, what do you think about that upgrade. I'm trying to give some feedback to my designs and answer the questions stated (anything about them may be answered in that topic).

I believe the upgrade was very good. Not much more expensive than it's predecessors at least when compared to what it did, and what yours can do now. So the over all C-Bill cost is acceptable. I mean, If I am going to spend so much on this mech, I would definitely like to take your model over the original.
First off, the increased armor made me very happy. max armor on an XL is usually the way I go and while yours doesn't, considering it's intended role, it is definitely adequate. Max armor is still a personal preference of mine though.
Despite the slight reduction in over all firepower, you have made a better weapon layout IMO. Not a fan of the Light Gauss but again with it's role, it is understandable why you'd replace the LB 10 with it. Streak 4 replacing the SRM 6 was a nice touch. Better ammo and heat management while insuring the missles actually hit was definitely worth the price in firepower reduction. And the ER PPC replacing the Pulse was a good idea also. Lot more range and with no minimum, can still be used up close where the LRM's and Light Gauss would fail.
The addition of the Artemis and additional Double Heat Sinks helps round out the improvements that greatly outweigh the additional cost of an Endo Steel Chassis.
This mech is pretty powerful but I just can't help but feel disgust at the Albatross. Now that I think about it, it is probably because a little history that that mech and I share which I won't get into.
Sorry for the late response but I rarely stop by this area.... even though I said I would stop by more. 
Well, I hope this explains my thoughts on this design.
