Designed in response to a post on the HeavyMetal forum.


NACs for planetary bombardment, lots of dropship rings, lots of small craft to ferry ship-board troops, LOADS of onboard marines and battle armor troopers, and fighters for air support.

An interesting idea. I'm not sure of the idea itself, but the ship certainly pulls it off well. The small craft are good for dropping troops wherever you might need them, and the integral fighter component is a fine idea. The ship suffers from a serious lack of food/water, and I'm not sure if the fuel is sufficient; I haven't checked to see how many days that tonnage is worth. But it ought to do the job just fine.

As for this versus the traditional DropShips, I'll have to think about it. I'll get back to you, I suppose.

Correct. Food and water is a serious problem; all the more reason to have a generous number of supply ships (my reasoning to explain a glaring oversight during designing ).

As for fuel, it has enough for 430.16 1G burn days, or 172.06 max burn days.

Overall a decent ship. I like it. Very similar to what I had in mind for the Acclamator class and some of my other ships.

Ties in nicely to the idea of fleets being tended to by supply ships and built in limits adds character and feel to the ship as it's a part of the universe not uber ship that can do everything so well no other needs to be built.

Very well done. I will be adding it to my Co-Alliance fleet and I think it will do really well.
