*He felt a sense of hostility immediatley as he entered the bar and grill, emanating from the Davions and Kuritans that comprised most of the patrons. He was short, about 5'9", and slim at 140 lbs. His Capellan uniform bore the symbol of the elite Capellan Hussars, the cream of the Capellan military. He was young, no older than than 20, but his wise face belied his tender years. He handed his sword and pistol to the rather large man at the door, and headed to the bar. He sat at a stool, and took out a wallet.*

"Do you have tea?"

Greetings Temujin. Nice to meet a fellow Capellan after all these years. Word of advice, though the other tend to deride and degridate us, hold fast. Our time is coming.

*young man in Kuritan officer uniform turns to Capellans*

Umm... tea

*with terrible Slavonic accent he continues*

Would you mind, if I'll drink some cup with you?

*orders himself one*

Welcome here!

(To Oafman)

"Mediocre performance? We didn't surrender an inch of ground during the war until we were drowning in blood."

(To Seraph)

"I know it , sir. I don't have much expierience though, just a few battles on Styk against Lindon's Battalion. Nothing but construction workers and militia, no real test of my skills. Sir, where have you seen action?"

No insult inteded to you Temujin, the comment was a jab to Seraph. The two of us are old friends.

I may joke, but I do respect the tenacity of the few Capellans I have met. I too have lost friends, most of them to the recent clan action. Being an officer in the Solaris program has somewhat limited my emotional losses. I have learned not to get to know the new recruits for the arenas...

"Well, you will have to forgive me for being instinctly defensive around Kuritans and Davions. I have a mistrust of them that is bred into us Capellans at a young age. I am not yet worthy of respect for my combat abilities, but I plan to prove it soon enough."

Combat ? As in single martial prowess ?

All i need to do is go, "You, you and you. See that mech over the horizons ? Wait for my word and shower him with LRMs and PPCs, i will finish him once he is down. "

I don't like to get my hands dirty.

Once you'll find your self with empty ammo bins and damaged mech that have nowhere to run. Time to get your hands dirty

Agreed.

Honor in combat goes to those who overcome adverse conditions and defeat an opponent who outnumbers them.

Or outmatched. I've heard tales and seen footage of light 'Mechs taking down heavies and assaults, often by themselves. It takes some serious brass to face down an 80 tonner when you're in soething that only wieghs 35.

[sober]

As much as you people can sprout honor out of your mouths, its a known fact that the IS needed 1300 mechs WITH support to take on 800 Clan mechs outside Luthien. Almost by pot luck too. Not a very fair tactic I would say.

Although i do relish the chance for honourable combat, there are times when using the less honourable of tactics is essential for walking away alive.

I can't be good to the people and my men that I protect if I'm dead.

Oh well, more drinks for everyone and no offence !

Not so much skill required when you have Jenner and the enemy has only basic Charger

With that speed and ER PPC? In open terrain the Annihilator would be dead before being allowed to respond in kind
