The best i have been cxapable of doing is a 7t protomech. Two of them would be 14 tons, which is kinda perfect because the smallest bike we've managed was 2 tons and 5 of those is 10 tons plus 4 tons for a platoon
of infantry.

Aehm ..., cough ..., 2t bike, err ... no, I think that hoverbikes should be considered as motorized infantry squad (1.5t) and the Stormtrooprers 6 foot infantry squads (0.75t per squad). With 6t cargo bay it may carry 42 Stormtroopers and 7 speederbikes.

And i'm sorry because i think your wrong. The Imperial speeder can manage over 500 kph, which is a 47 mp. Motorized Infantry CANNOT move 47 hexes and THEREFOR cannot be the speeder bikes. It requires a new vehicle that weighs 2 tons at best.
Besides, your suggestion does not leave enough space to carry an AT-ST conversion let alone 2. The smallest anyone has gotten the AT-ST down to is a 7 ton Protomech with full movement and weapons or a 10 ton Mech with full movement and weapons. Either way, a 6 ton cargo bay will not carry one and most defintly not two.

Speeder technology is not included in battletech, converting it as single vehicle (hovercraft) doesn't look like the best solution. I would rather create new infantry type. AT-ST carrier had some armor removed to be able to carry these bulky units, spare tonnage may be used to get the desired cargo capacity.

I think some kind of compromise is going to need to happen here. I think there may only be two things in the BTech Universe that are cannon that can move anywhere close to 500kph, and I belive it is the Hi-Scout Drone (NapFind Model), 2ton Hover craft, moves 25/38 and the ScolTeck NapFind 2 ton hovercraft, again 25/38.
And there is no way an infantry unit that moves faster then these two overcraft will be balanced at all. Just my two cents. . .

That is why is only has a micro pulse. Really its only a scout unit, (though I know people would try to use it for attacking) with 0 armor.

Well at 103K + the costs of traning pilots (well just say roughly 1.2 mil in training fees) They are really really pricey. Training for them is going to be extensive and brutal. Much like out current military (I dont know the exact number but I seem to remember that fighter pilots cost almost 2.5 or more to train completely, may be wrong though) So using these as suicide boms is really a bad Idea.
Now if you made it a RC unit. Then we could talk.
