==Overview:==
The Hunter Gunship is an anti-armor/mech gunship designed by Clan Hell's
Horses to compliment its vehicular forces by doing severe damage to agressors.

==Capabilities:==
Considerably slow, perhaps one of the slowest ever invented, the Hunter
Gunship has a top speed of 86 KPH, causing it to be easier to hit, when paired
with its large and imposing profile.

Carrying an Extended Range Particle Projectile Cannon in its nose as its
primary weapon, no less lethal is the ATM-9 and 14 reloads located in the
frontal arc also, has 4 tubes on either side of the PPC and 1 above it. This
payload can devastate any mech that gets close.

For City situations, the Hunter arms its ATMs with High Explosive ammo, making
it able to cripple large targets.

==Deployment==
Hell's Horses is the sole producer and user of the Hunter gunship. They are
deployed singally or in pairs.

Slow and a little light on armor for my tastes, but the armament is evil.

If I may suggest, how about a scout variant, with ERLL, BAP, ECM, and whatever else; perhaps a heavier ATM and third ton of ammo.

Related to the Hunter Gunship is the Scout Destroyer Gunship, made to utterly blow scouts mechs up, with an extra-accurate ERPPC.

Looks good.. but bl88dy expensive..
How will this look with a standard engine instead of an XL?

Just tried it and it cant be done with a ICE engine it is 1/2 movement with no armor and over tonnage by a little bit.

With a standard it is 1.7 million c-bills but loses a lot of armor.

A chopper doesn't need armor if it's got range and speed. They never really make very good close assault vehicles anyway. It's always too easy to chop the rotor off. Sure, you can have five million points of nose armor, an XXL engine, and five gauss rifles, but somebody hits you in the rotor with a medium laser and you're done.

Seeing as it is meant to take out 3-6 million c-bill scout machines, usually several, I see it as cost effective.

And if you use the ruling (which I do) that rotors only take 1 damage per hit and make them only 2 slots on the crit table then its not so bad...

I love VTOLS. But I agree with you delta they only get used if we use the lvl 3 ruling on the rotors.
