The Shadow Hawk has never Jumped full in 3025. If someone gets a lucky crit on your center torso your pretty much screwed to begin with. I view it as the least problematic place to put ammo. Since if your center torso is hash your probably going to dump ammo anyway because you want to last longer in the field.
We are talking about House Kurita here as well. Never ones known for not taking risks. CASE takes away tonnage you could be using to defeat the invaders (Davion, Steiner or Clan).
Its a decent machine, you just have to remember its made with the 3025 mind set and you'll be able to use it a bit better.

This a nice idea but the lack of full jump and CASE gives me lots of reservations about this mech. The Streaks are a nice additon but im not sold on the idea that you simply had to mount the ammo on the centre torso.
Now anyone can just hits the CT with an Lb-2X and if it crits, he will just laugh and watch the SHD blow up like a firecracker.
Dropping a medium laser for CASE and another JJ will greatly benefit the mech. The ER med lasers are nice, but they are not worth the heat output imo and i like firing all my close range weapons without fear of heat when i make a jump.

A more kuritan mindset would be placing the ammo in the head ! Most Kuritan pilots stackpole their machine anyway and choose to die as a result. Ammo in the head would also make an enemy salvaging the mech a much more difficult process !
