Templar. Yes, I know, it has an XL. But sometimes an XL engine is well used. The Devastator is one example, and the Templar is another. It's got some good configs, and Tancred Sandoval's config rocks.

Hauptmann.
1) Its cheap for an Omniassault. I dont have to pay with an arm and a leg !
2) No XL engines and light engines to worry about. Blow half my body away and i still have something else to shoot with.
3) Short of the DHS and integral CASE plus being Omni, the Hauptmann does not have ANY other IS advanced construction techiqnues like Endo-Steel on the base chassis. In fact everyone nowadays just takes advantage of Endo-steel and Ferro for their L2 designs.
This Steiner brute doesnt, which gives it a flair. 
In all, a thumbs up for Steiner with this beast.

| Sunder, despite the XL engine and less than stellar configs. I find that with an upgraded prime config or as the leader of C3 company it's a solid design.

| Haputmann. Its cheap and does the job well. Tancred's templar is also sweet...duel RAC5s. Ouch.

I would have to reply the Hauptmann. As much i am partial to the Templar because i like the AFFS, the Hauptmann has all of the above advantages of design and i even think some its designs are downright wicked with weapons configs.
My vote goes to the Hauptmann.
