Nice work. A Corvette and a Patrol Carrier are excellent ship sizes for ships manufactured by a smaller power. Cheaper, and much more easily constructed than larger ships.

But...you posted the same carrier twice.

It would appear that I had a severe attack of cranal rectalitis that night...I had messed up the Flower Class Corvette Reconstruct on top of posting the wrong oneand did the same screw-up on CBT too but I have posted the correct and corrected TRO now. Check out the Bird Class Sloop to see the Flagships of the Naval Fleets

Just one thing: they should be faster. 3/5 is something I'd expect from a Cruiser or Battleship, not a Corvette.

Also, nix the L-F battery, it's KILLING the cost-efficiency.

Here's what I think would be a good redesign. It suffers a little in the armor department, but is faster, and slightly better armed (note that the missiles are tele-operated, meaning that you could probably turn all four missiles onto the same target).

I think you paid too high a price for the added speed you have given up a LOT of armor between the reduced tonnage and the down grade to regular FC in stead of the Lamilor as well as the loss of fighter protection and you have reduced the cargo transfer ability while adding an ammo dependent system of limited capability. You have also reduced the Cargo Capacity to a ridiculously low level and the L-F Battery significantly enhances the vessels ability to respond to a threat in a different system from where it is located. You are sacrificing to much to the bean counters IMHO.

Exactly what do you think you'll be hauling? Ammo? You just said that ammo-dependent weapons are not on your menu. Food? That comes under "Food & Water Supply". Fuel? That's the Fuel Tank's job. Medical supplies I would believe, but you don't need over 2,000 tons of medical equipment.

Fighter protection. That's what Patrol Carriers are for. I can see an aerospace company (squadron?) of 6 fighters on a ship, but 18 per seems excessive.

As for the rest...what can I say? I was drunk.

The loss of armor and Fighters dont make up for the speed.

Remember this could be a mainline ship for a smaller power, so it must be like a pocket cruiser. Speed MUST BE lost for armor and firepower (in terms of the airwing).

So i think Scrapper did a better job.

O.K. first some background on the Outland Alliance The standard fighter squadron has 4 4 plane lances for a total of 16 (not 18) planes. If you go down the thread you can find the organization of the ODF the Flower Class Corvette is intended to be able to work independently as needed firepower and protection is important all systems have at least one SDV and 6-12 PMCs to hold the line until the jump capable ships arrive as far as cargo space goes in addition to food Water and spare parts also needed are supplies for cleaning and hygiene office supplies personal effects recreation equipment and supplies just to name a few.on a long mission on your design the personnel would very quickly become VERY bored and stinky.
