Its a good refit. I like the idea that every unit that has Enforcers will now have multiple upgrade options. This being the simplest but not neccesarily the best.

The standard engine and RAC I love.

The heat sinks I'm happy with, since your not going to jump jet and fire too many RAC shells, so your heat should do fine.

Armour and jump jets are perfect in my mind. Two compliants though. Its got back armour now.

My Panther would actually have to work hard against an opposing Enforcer now. Good work.

Though the time period is wrong as well. I also dislike the weird way the Enforcer works. The closer it gets to you the LESS lethal it is, at least compared to other designs who gain more firepower as they close with you.

Thanks for the comments Blackhand!
The back armour was a bit of a oversight on my part.. some like it, some don't.. oh well.. you can't please everyone.

I';m a bit curious about the less lethal bit though.. when designing with RACs, i think of them as a medium/short range weapon.

Okay, take a mech wtih like 2 long range ER PPC IS.

You fire in close two SRM 4s, 2 Medium Lasers, some machine guns and one ER PPC in close.

THis mythical mech gets more dangerous as you close.

When all you've got can be used just as well at long range. It means you need to play at the edges of the combat envelope with a good gunner to gain an edge.

However, Enforcer's aren't exactly a good mech for uping damage while they close. They're more defenders and more a sniper style. A RAC can change this equation for a limited time. The question is what happens if one of these million rounds jams. At which point your hooped for a bit.

I have a differing opinion. If a mech can fire all or most of it's weapons at all ranges then that is effecient use of your machine. To segregate your weapons means you are carrying dead weight half the time.

That's partly cause you and blackhand have differeing philosophies.. i don't quite want to go there now..

But i will say the efficient isn't always the same as effective..

Still in response to blackhand.. yeah.. that sounds reasonable.. but it's any mech that has ammo dependent weapons suffers that to a certain extent.

i tend to a little but of a bracket fighter though especially considering i dont fire any weapons at under their min range.

but i will still keep heatsinks aplenty if the mech runs very hots like 50+ to 60+ max heat (you will be surprised how much heat 10 medium lasers kick up on a lvl1 mech). Dont want my pilot to get baked.
