still i wonder where would the crew and its troops sleep... in their mechs and tanks ?

The quarters for the troops and support personel are incorperated in the various bays and they are listed as "Bay Personel"

An ordinary foot infantry platoon takes up 5 tons. That's not a whole lot more than the space they take up when you cram them into an APC.
