Its by no means a perfect design, being too light on armour for my tastes, but the fluff kicks it up a whole star.
Sure the Guass rifles can run out of ammo but with 24 shots each, they can last a long long time on campaigns. Which is a love for me.

Sorry if I seem to be picking on you in particular Blackhand. This one's friendly, really.
Two things here, neither of which is really a criticism.
First, this is packing full armor. You don't get more than 307 points without four legs. I'm thinking you saw the tonnage (16) but missed that it was FF armor. Just thought I'd bring it to your attention, sseeing that you liked the 'Mech, and knowing how much I hate seeing designs that are great except for one flaw.
Second. Can you tell me what you liked so much about the fluff? I'd just find it interesting to know.

Well the FF, I will absolutely admit to not seeing. I apologize. I should have hit it for 5 stars then or just said fluff was worth .5 of a star rather than 1
Two lines from the fluff jump out at me and make me laugh. They amuse me.
However, there was one thing that no one previously considered: the Devastator was originally designed by Aleksandr Kerensky himself.
This is just golden. I love that kind of joke.
Plans for a short production run are being made however, if only because allowing a perfectly good 'Mech design to fade away looks like something only the Inner Sphere would do.
This also makes my day because, it just fits my exact thoughts on the clanners. They do some things just because the IS doesn't.
The reasoning behind the standard engine is superb as well.
I don't consider it picking on me to point out my mistakes. Or to ask for clarification. Although, if I have to do up too many more Meat and Potatoe tables I'm going to knife a whole pile of B-tech players;)
