The standard engine, apart from obviously making this beast very tough, also fulfills the requirements that the machine be cheap. The C3 is vital for an MRM platform. The heat makes this 'mech very easy to like - enough heat sinks to use the weapons effectively, not enough to go on braindead alpha-strikes!

In a lance vs lance battle i ran on Megamek, the Jitte absorbed ridiculous amounts of firepower. It didn't quite dished out as much as i liked but it did kill an enemy assault mech (can't remember which model.. some time back) with over 50 MRMs... fun
