==Overview:==

This much modified Jenner was the mech that the Scrapper from Motown used as

his first mech in the arenas on Solaris It started out as a standard JR-7F

Jenner It has been modified a number of times over the years, At various times

the lasers were moved around and replaced by more advanced units culminating

in the currant load out of Clan Tech ERs the armour has been replaced by Clan

Ferro-fiborous and the Heat sinks with Clan Tech DHS .After the child prodigy

known as Tunnel Rat imprtinted herself into the computer and  took it out in

the middle of a battle on Hagar and got two kills and subsiquently got several

more with it before upgrading to a larger mech the cockpit was replaced by a

Compact cockpit to better fit her small stature and a Clan Targeting computer

was installed in the space freed up.



==Capabilities:==

The Goldbug carries the maximum amount of armour that can be mounted  on a 35

ton chassis .The origional medium lasers have been replaced be Clan Tech ER

mediums and added an ER Small and ER Micro laser also Clan Tech considerably

increasing the throw weight .The Targeting Computer increases the accuracy of

the weapons.The Double strength heat sinks improve the heat curve though it

still runs a bit warm.



==Battle History:==

The Goldbug when piloted by the Scrapper in the arenas on Solaris aquired a

fearsome reputaion ruling the Light division and even taking on and defeating

a few mediums.

In service with the Barrel of Monkeys the Goldbug was involved in a number of

pivitol battles while piloted by small children oftain comming out in rough

shape.

==Notable 'Mechs & MechWarriors:==

The Scrapper from Motown 

The origional pilot and owner of this mech used it for a number of years in

competion in the arenas on Solaris before retiring from compitition after

building a fearsome reputation.. He is a part time warrior and opperates the

largest scrap yard for old ordanace in known human space. He kept the mech as

a reserve machine when he upgraded to more advanced machines while serving 

first as lance comander and XO and eventualy CO of the Barrel of Monkeys a sub

unit of the Dropship Irregulars.



Tunnel Rat

The youngest daughter of warrior-techs Discord and MercChick of Team Bonsai

she has displayed powerful psionic abilities and a VERY stubborn personality.

She first called attention to herself with a number of predictions that

alerted the Dropship Irregulars to a serious threat to humanity in the form of

Battlecarp in the proccess she ended up at the Scrap Yard on Motown when her

parents came there along with Team Bonsai to turn the massive stock piles of

old war machines into a fighting force.She stowed away in a crate of inferno

missiles on the DS Beast when it went to the Hagar system as part of a large

DI strike force. She was discovered just before the Salvage I activated its

Worm-Hole Drive to jump from the Motown System to the Hagar system. When the

Salvage I arrived in system carrying the BoM dropships there was a full blown

naval battle going on and lacking a space suit that could fit a 3 1/2 year old

the Scrapper placed her in the cockpit of the Goldbug so she would be

protected if there was a hull breach and decompression. Being lightly armed

compaired to the other combatants it was decided that the BoM dropships would

break formation and do a full burn towards Hagar in the belief that their

chances would be better on the planet than in space .Unknown to the Scrapper

Tunnel Rats parents would let the child play in a mech simulator and she had a

fair idea of how to operate a battlemech and she procceded to imprint herself

in the open control program when they landed on planet she insisted on staying

in the mechs cockpit .Not knowing that she could opperate the mech she was

allowed to remain there. Shortly after the BoM left the dropship to reconoiter

the area she started up the mech and joined them just as the LZ was attacked

startling one of the other mech pilots into firing his main gun that just

happened to core an enemy mech that was about to blindside the Scrappers

Dismantler mech. Before anybody had a chance to deal with what happened the LZ

was attacked in force and in the confused melay that followed she managed to

take out one mech when there was a slight break in the action the BoM force

organized a defence and she managed to take out a second mech before going

down with a gyro hit .The next day she participated in an attack on the main

enemy base that caused a lot of damage before the BoM was ejected she got

several more kills before the Goldbug took multiple engine hits and shut

down.She has since moved on to a larger mech.



Psycho McNasty

The nephew of Blasty McNasty ,Colonel Medron Pryde once discribed this child

as having the face of a cherub the mouth of a sailor and getting his mind in

the gutter would be an improvement. 4 1/2 going on 25 this child is foul

mouthed over-sexed  and has an amazing ability to get people to like him

dispite all that. He got to pilot the Goldbug after Kali Liao had Tunnel  Rat

kidnapped he managed to get himself included in the rescue force He claims

that he used a number of kicks to his uncles groin to persuade him to let him

come along .He is an agressive warrior ,in his first battle he charged point

blank into the rear of a Whitworth and fired into it at such close range that

his mech was showered with debris when the ammo bins detonated and he got his

second kill against a Wasp using the same type of agressive tacticks .In the

Battle for Geosinos when the BoM was trying to force the gates to the walled

compound he jumped the Goldbug up onto the wall to take on three other lights

quickly dispatching a Stinger and a Jenner JR-7D  When he took on the third

mech; a Javelin. The Goldbug was overheating and his targeting was degrading

in desperation he performed a Death From Above  manouver crushing the cockpit

of the Javelin and knocking both mechs off the wall, narrowly escaping death

when a sign penetrated the cockpit and surviving only because of his small

size as the sign post would have penetrated the chest of an adult instead it

just grazed his shoulder.After linking up with Colonel Pride he made it back

to the DI LZ .Psycho has also moved up to a larger mech.



==Deployment==

The Goldbug is now kept as a reserve mech and usualy gets piloted by children

because of the modifications to the Cockpit.
