I wanted a flawed 'mech. One with some personality. Tell me what you think.
Type/Model: Grell
Tech: Inner Sphere / 3025
Config: Biped BattleMech
Rules: Level 1, Custom design
Mass: 45 tons
Chassis: Amalgam Standard
Power Plant: 270 GM Fusion
Walking Speed: 64.8 km/h
Maximum Speed: 97.2 km/h
Jump Jets: None
Jump Capacity: 0 meters
Armor Type: Lox lift Series 1 Standard
Armament:
1 Donal PPC
1 Magna Medium Laser
1 Holly-5 LRM 5
1 Holly-2 SRM 2
Manufacturer: Mech Repair Bay
Location: (Unknown)
Communications System: Corean TransBand-J9
Targeting & Tracking System: Corean B-Tech
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
==Overview:==
The Grell is probably one of the wierdest-looking machines to ever bear the
title of "battlemech". This due almost entirely to the fact that the Grell is
actually composed of parts from 5 different 'mechs.
The chronically impoverished Legion of Vega, after a particularly hard
campaign, found itself at a severe shortage of functioning battlemechs, but
enjoyed plentiful spare parts, mostly from their own destroyed machines. One
particularly ingenious tech, after seeing several 'mechs piled upon each
other, got the idea of putting the machines together into strange, but
otherwise functional, "frankenmechs". The first he and his technical staff
scrounged together was the Grell.
In its chest, which is what's left of a crippled Assassin, is the GM fusion
engine of a Phoenix Hawk. The right arm is taken from a mech that probably
used to be a Warhammer (although given the condition it was in, it was rather
difficult to tell). The legs and left arm were all that remained of a Cicada
that had been unfortunate to recieve a "highlander burial". The head, perhaps
the most intact piece on the entire 'mech, was taken from a Centurion.
==Capabilities:==
The Grell is suprisingly capable, given its bizarre appearance. The PPC is
fully functional, which is a small miracle, given the condition of its
"donor". The LRM gives it a long-ranged sting, while the combination of SRM
and Laser can take down most lighter machines that get close.

Love it! And it ain't bad.
Only major pointer I'd like to give: arrange the armour so it mirrors exactly the armour of its parent design. And with the parents that you have chosen, it will be totally crazy:
H: 9 (Centurion)
CT: 12/4
R/LT: 10/2
RA: 14 - Warhammer would be 20, but this is all it supports..... There goes the beauty....
LA: 4 (Cicada)
R/LL: 6 (Cicada)
That is actually only 1 point shy of your 5 tons! The extra point, maybe in the center torso?
Great fun design. There have been a couple of Frankenmechs over the years: Shorty Sneede's Rifleman (a mix of Rifleman, Archer, Warhammer and Phoenix Hawk - found in Cranston Snord's Irregulars) and Frankenstein's Monster (a mix of Wasp, Stinger and Commando, found in Battletechnology #20) come to mind.

You are correct, good sir. Here is the "canon correct" version. And as for that extra point of armor: It's going to waste. Like I said, I want a flawed machine

Considering how it came into existance not a bad design I would shove that extra armour point somewhere just because it is there but for a walking junk pile...a surprisingly efective machine

I love it! Flawed or not, it has plenty of character.
