The Conceptmech. Once again, the "concept" was to fill in a lance! I do actually think it is a half-decent design. But beware! The fluff is not up there with the others! There is simply not as much interest in it from my side....

|
I've just reviewed it
I like.. needs a better name though.

In the fluff, I mentioned a Clan variant of it (seeing as it is a Wolf's Dragoons design), so I submitted that as well. Please don't forget that the Dragoons have their own variant, before you start giving the above bad marks for being IS tech!

Enjoy. Once again, I appreciate any and all input!

I'll get to these two when i can...

Since we're on this topic i will love your input on some of my mechs...here they are..
http://www.mordel.net/tro/mech.php?mid=1522
This was a joke mech.
http://www.mordel.net/tro/mech.php?mid=1486
This is fluff oriented... (knowing me..)
(for both of the above, the lower the rating, the happier i'll be.. its quite obvious why)
http://www.mordel.net/tro/mech.php?mid=1496
this is my ride here at Mordel's
The following are mine as well but i''ll admit to being lazy about getting the url..
Enforcer ENF-4R2 (50 tons)
Guardsman GDS-1B (50 tons)
Hunchback HBK-5K (50 tons)
Jitte Jt-1K (80 tons) so i'm nopt all about medium's hahahah.

Hey, I just reviewed all the above except for the Microsloth!
Everyone else had already said so much about it, and I don't know, maybe it's because I'm German, I didn't really feel that emotional towards it. And a bland review for that design would have been an insult!
I "awarded" the Quickcell design with a 0. You asked for it (and I did include that fact in my review)! Great fluff!
The Panther is absolutely rock solid. A 4 should suffice, I hope.
The Enforcer..... I had my biggest problems with that one, it only got a 2. Check what I wrote, hopefully it makes sense.
I loved the Hunchback. Another 4 there.
The Watchman: that basically got a conditional 3. I did put down that I had personal preferential problems with it, but that (with very little change, though unfortunately a new fluff) could easily merit a proud 4.5!
The Jitte - you are going to get a set opinion of me! "He's a munchkin, that one!" you are going to scream! Because I gave that assault design a 4.5. Because not only, like most of your other designs, is it actually really good, but, to me, it also broke a whole lot of new ground, when put in context with stock designs.
I would be most happy to discuss my reviews with you.
On another note, my 100 ton Kronos design will probably be put up soon. Yes, 100 tons.... And, yes, a hatchet. Now, I got to know through your Ogre review that you don't like hatchets on 100-tonners. I actually agree. But nevertheless, that one is without a doubt the most intelligent design I ever created. Yes, that sounds very pompous, but there it is. It was the fruit of a lot of thought a couple of years ago. (I think I actually posted it at an earlier incarnation of Mordel's)

No problems. Everyone has their own opinion. For that mech i was going for an upgrade of the really old models.. but i'll keep my silence till i see the review

Realy, good. I thoughtit was solid. Not the slightest bit imaginative, but solid... same for the panther..

To each his own.. that wasn't perfect.. i know it has more heat sinks than it really needs. the fluff probably isn't perfect either... that's what comes of not having ALL the fluff books... sorry house books..

I actually like this a lot myself.. i tested it on megamek and it happily took loads of hits while dishing it out good. It missed a lot though...

Yes, I am the resident German. But you realise that I grew up in Australia, right? Funny that...
I will post the link to the Kronos as soon as it gets put up. Hey, you can still review my Rifleboy!

Well, this thread is not dead yet!
I have, just for the heck of it, posted the two spare-time 'mechs above. Nothing special, but it will boost both the lvl1 and the medium 'mech quote of this website! Happy Erenon?
Actually, now that I've addressed you: my reviews of your designs aren't up yet (and neither is the Kronos....). Please feel free to discuss them, once they do make their appearance. If you want to, that is!

Well the Mini Hammer has been done. I looked it up the 7/11 Double PPC Micro Hammer at 35 tons does exist.
Not quite the same thing.

Well, I just looked at CBT list. Yeah, ok, the TechFactory seems to have released one.... But with an XL engine, endo steel, ferro fibrous armour and double heat sinks, it *really* isn't the same design!

I was just noting the idea did exist, and had been done once. Didn't say it was the same with the exception of the PPC combination.

Well, I'm gone for Easter and now they're up! I hope none of you canned these before I could put in a word!
First, 4 100 tonners!!
But please, don't worry, I hope the fluff makes it clear that most of these aren't exactly common!
First of all, here is the corrected Blackjack IIC. No XL, endo, more armour. Much better, IMO. This is meant to replace my other entry, so I hope you can forgive me for putting it up:
http://www.mordel.net/tro/mech.php?mid=1734
Now, here we have a true 3025 design. Inspired by my entry into Aerotech 2, and given your collective blessing. The Marik command variant of the Atlas, refitted as if it were a Riever 100-B:
http://www.mordel.net/tro/mech.php?mid=1770
And here we have my pride and joy, my baby, my proudest design: the Kronos! People, I have a photo of a little kitbash I did of this design. Can someone tell me how to upload pics onto the net? Then I can post the pics in this thread, and you can actually see this 'mech!
Basically, I spent more time on coming up with this one than any other of my designs. The premise was a hatchet-wielding 'mech that was, well, just plain better than the Berserker. I would love to argue with you on various specific design details. But just to start it off: yes, I know it is somewhat slow. But it won't have trouble catching most assault 'mechs (moving backwards is always slower than moving ahead). And it is meant to take out those f***ers. The most important feature is the bundle of lasers in the LT. Weapons that, in their primary function, are not weapons at all. This has not been done a lot of times in BT and I feel it is the ingredient that makes this 'mech, which relies on 3x strength myomers, more credible than others.
Well, here it is - and please tell me how I can get some photos to you!
http://www.mordel.net/tro/mech.php?mid=1739
And, just to show you that the finished product is hopefully more thought out than others, here is a first version of this design. Basically, this is how I originally envisaged the 'mech. I then threw the weaponry overboard, after hitting a dead end. I only came back to this design after having finished the main version, just to supply you with an in-universe prototype/alternate option.
http://www.mordel.net/tro/mech.php?mid=1738
Ok, for all you who think that 400 tons for 4 entries is way too heavy, here are the two 'mechs that I just "threw onto the table" in this very thread. 3025, lvl1 and medium 'mechs. Could it get any better? Well if they were more inspired, maybe..... (I did make a note of that in the fluff):
Here, the light alternative for a Warhammer in lvl1 gameplay:
http://www.mordel.net/tro/mech.php?mid=1760
And here, I don't know, some competition for light 'mechs, I guess:
http://www.mordel.net/tro/mech.php?mid=1762
I hope you enjoy some of them. I only feel fiercely protective towards the first of the two Kronos designs. All the others, please hit me with heaps of constructive and even destructive criticism. But stick to the constructive sort for the first Kronos, please!
And yeah, basically this is it from me. It would have to be a very sudden and violent wave of inspiration that would have to hit me to construct more designs.....
