I saw a review of TRO 3058 on Amazon.com, where the reviewer complained that many of the designs were munchy because they had Streaks and pulse lasers. That and similar complaints in TRO reviews inspired this.

Overview:
The new Munchkin BattleMech is designed by Clan Jade Falcon as a
light 'Mech hunter. The primary purpose of the design is to give
Falcon pilots some chance of defeating Wolf and Wolf-in-Exile light
'Mechs, something which Jade Falcons often have trouble doing.
Capabilities:
The Muchkin's main armament is a pair of large pulse lasers,
which let it do significant damage accurately. A single medium pulse
laser lets the Munchkin do a little more damage up close, without
losing accuacy. The accuracy of the pulse lasers is intended to make
up for the natural deficiency of Falcon MechWarriors.
Deployment:
In the three months of their operations, Munchkins have disabled
or destroyed nine Wolf light 'Mechs. Six Muchkins have been
destroyed in that time; two by Wolf Adders and two more by Wolf-in-Exile
Pack Hunters. One had a run in with Khan Kell's Wolfhound. The sixth
seems to have tried engaging a Wolf Spiders' Dire Wolf.

Clan warriors don't consider it dishonorable to use better weapons than the opposition. They just think you're stupid (or a barbarian) for using inferior gear.
