I just checked the IS planetary map. Turns out that Caph (where I'm going to have my players) is only a jump away from Terra.
This got me to thinking. The way the campaign is probably going to turn out, the Laio presence on Caph will be forced off-planet, and the Marik/WoB and Steiner presences will be crippled, essentially leaving the planet in the hands of the Davion forces, and the SL's peacekeepers (a Kuritan unit working with Lindon's Battalion, as well as maybe some Comstar personell).
What if the Davion and/or Comstar forces decide to use Caph as a staging point into Terra? I mean, the forces could be mustered there and made to look like they were going elsewhere into the CM; I could also drag the players into the invasion.

That's the thing; if the Davion forces do become the primary presence on Caph, then that means Terra is in danger of being invaded as Davion and Comstar are now buddy-buddy. As such, this will probably throw off the WoB timetable as they have to re-calcuate for the defense of Terra.

Don't forget to add into the mix the few Comstar warships stationed at the Saturn shipyards. WoB hasn't gained control of these facilities yet and Comstar has a hard time bringing in new ships to service their because of a WoB blockade.

My main worry is with the Com Guard resistance that's still on the planet. IIRC, the Com Guards were able to break into one of the Castle Brians.

| That's true, but they are effectively stuck there, unable to do little more than observe in horror or maybe make some guerilla attacks.
