I might be biased for my design but I'm flipping through the list of mechs are are within about half a million C-bills of this.
CMA-C Chimera 6/9/6 with an XL engine. 7 tons of armour and an ER Large, ER Medium, MRM-20 with 2 tons ammo. But only 20 heat dissipation. A trifle more expensive.
ANV-3M Anvil 5/8/3 with a standard engine, 9.5 tons of armour, 2 Large Pulses, 2 Medium Pulses. 24 Heat dissipation. Half a million cheaper and only 60 tons.
ANV-5M Anvil 5/8/5 with a standard engine, 9.5 tons of armour, 2 ER Larges, 4 ER Mediums, 24 Heat Dissipation. Same price but ten tons lighter.
The Archer line ARC-2K, ARC-2R, ARC-2S, ARC-W.
The Awesomes AWS-8Q, AWS-8R, AWS-8T, AWS-8V.
BL-7-KNT Black Knight with a standard engine, 11 tons of armour, PPC, 2 Large Lasers, 4 Medium Lasers, Small Laser, 20 Heat dissipation. A bit more expensive and 5 tons heavier.
Either the CTF-1X or CTF-2X cataphracts fit this category.
The CLPT-C3, and CLPT-C4 Catapults are barely expensive enough to qualify but would you actually want them?
A mech that suprised me THE ASSAULT CHARGER. AKA the Challenger.
CGR-SB Charger, 3/5, 15.5 Tons of armour, 4 Large Lasers, Medium Laser, 28 Heat dissipation. Same dollar value.
Crusader CRD-5S 4/6 with an XL, 12 tons of armour, 2 LRM 15, 2 SRM 6, 2 Medium Laser, Machine Gun, everything has 1 ton of ammo, 20 heat dissipation. 400k Cheaper.
Exterminator EXT-4A 5/8/5 standard engine, 10.5 tons of armour, 4 Medium Lasers, LRM-10, Machine Gun, Small Laser, 10 heat dissipation. 100k more expensive.
Flashman FLS-7K, a laser boat... its the same price.
Either of the Inner Sphere Galloglasses. The GAL-1GLS and GAL-2GLS.
Any of the stock Grasshoppers.
All of the IS Guillotines.
The HCT-5S Hatchetman with the Light engine.
The stock Helios HEL-C from the combine.
The Marauder MDR-3L, MDR-3R and MDR-3M.
Kerensky's Orion the ON1-K, and the ON1-VA variant.
All of the Quickdraws make it in basically.
The Shootist ST-8A qualifies being the same price but its House Liao I think.
All the Venoms.
The 7M, and 9S Thunderbolts.
The Talon TLN-5W.
All the Warhammers.
I started this list out of insanity, thinking it would be short. It turned into a list thats strangely long, featuring the low end of the assaults, hatchet XL concept mechs, and a bunch of solid heavies.
Looking at this list, I wonder why I'd pick this mech for 6 million and change rather than one of the others on this list. However its one of the few that has an inability to produce heat without an engine hit.
Its the only AAA mech that made the list for 5.6-6.7 million C-bills though. Also its the only AAA mech that has Jump Jets that I know of.
In retrospect unless someone has a disadvantage in Aerospace, I can't think of a reason to have this mech in a unit. Course HV-2 High Velocity ammo for the AC-2s would make it even more dangerous to mechs and Aerotech. Allowing it to nail them from ranges that even the clans can barely match.
With the C3 Slave this mech mounts, it could sit on the hill side far away and just hammer at you while its 3 lance mates duke it out against your lance.
I also wonder about my sanity compiling a chart of all the mechs in a price range from 3025-3060.
