I'm interested in other opinions on the board. a 7/11 designed to duke it out against the Javelin's of House Steiner.
Is it as poor to field as Motown suggests, or is it slightly better?
I'd like opinions, because I've had at least some success fielding this in 3050 time period.
I wonder about the armour though because you can't fit much more armour on a 20 tonner than 3.5 tons to begin with.
7B has a Standard engine. Not the XL of the 7A. I was talking about the 7B, but I do agree with you on the moronic abilities of the designer of the 7A.

It's got heavy firepower, when you think about it. Two Streak SRM-4s can do considerable damage to backsides, and 7/11 speed means you can try scooting around slower mechs.
The expensive XL engine on a front line brawler is a bad mistake, though. The designer needs a few years in a Citizen's Re-education Camp.

That's just Mo for you. He thinks anything slower than 10/15 is slow.
It comes from using too many XXL engines.

The level 1 Locust LCT-1E would have this for lunch faster, better armoured ,and twin medium lasers backed up by twin small lasers do more damage plus the LCT-1E does not have uncased explosive ammo.Nuff said

I take it that's pretty much your benchmark light 'mech...the LCT-1E? Don't get me wrong, it's a great 'mech.
