Umm. Look up more Capallen mechs. THere are a few that are being mass produced and are mounting XL engines. And CASE isn't all that expensive. At 50,000 C-bills it is cheaper than one medium pulse laser which goes for 60,000 C-bills.

1. In 3050 Liao has about zero of the things though. push its release date to 3060 or so and I'll believe they magically got a XL manufactoring plant or bribed Marik to make it for them.
If anyone can provide another opinion on XL engines and Liao. I'd be glad for another voice on the topic, because I'm a Kurita player really.
2. As for a force that has the Death Commandos, who want to die in combat... do you expect them to want Case on their Machines? they prefer to have more weapons or something insane like that.
This is pure speculation on my part though. I may be wrong.
3. As for double heat sinks, I'm fairly sure Liao doesn't use them in 3050 much. Although St. Ives manages to use them in 3025 through some weird quirk of fate. So I might be totally confused on this point.
So yeah, thats about all I've got to say in my defence of that comment.

I'll second this point of view. Liao shouldn't have too much in the way of advanced techonlogy, and certainly should not be able to mass-deploy XL engines.
Three hundred years of defeat at the hands of Davion has it's consequences.
