When calculating max armor, is that maximum tons, points, eaxactly how does that work I am not getting it.

The formula is the maximum tonnage of armor a vessel can carry. Which makes me wonder why things like a Vincett only carries like 50 tons of armor.

(looks into the obnoxiously big cargo bay) you think they'd throw more armor on the outside of these things wouldn't you?

But thats Fasamatics for you, quadrillion dollar vessels a mechs could shoot through. Me I'll take my maxed armor mod corvette and the med naval gauss rifles.

First, I hope you're referring to AeroTech2, not AeroTech3. Or I'm wasting my time writing an editor for an obsolete system!

The maximum armor for conventional fighters is in points, while the rest are in tons, and depend on the SI mass. I consider these things lightly armed, though, that a 'Mech can shoot through them. Not when they can have up to thousands of armor points (standard class, hundreds in Capital class) per arc!

No Rick, AeroTech 3 will be out days after you finish Aero 2

Okay a mech can't punch through a Vincett but it can blast through any panel quite easily.

15 points of warship armor equal 150 mech armor points. It's a nice patrol/cargo ship but with the massive cargo hold I'd think 50 tons of armor wouldn't be a bad idea.
