On a lark, I wanted an experimental design. Tell me what you think.
NOTE: the Daemon Targeting Computer is twice as bulky and heavy as a comparable Clan Targeting Computer. It also allows more accurate spotting of artillery strikes by modifying the To-Hit number of the artillery piece by -1. All other factors are the same.
Type/Model: Daemon-1 DMN-1X
Tech: Inner Sphere / 2750
Config: Biped BattleMech
Rules: Level 2, Custom design
Mass: 85 tons
Chassis: Chariot Type III Standard
Power Plant: 255 PowerTech Fusion
Walking Speed: 32.4 km/h
Maximum Speed: 54.0 km/h
Jump Jets: None
Jump Capacity: 0 meters
Armor Type: Kallon Royalstar Standard
Armament:
1 PPC
1 Medium Pulse Laser
1 Medium Laser
1 Prototype Computer*
1 Small Laser
1 Small Pulse Laser
1 Autocannon/5
1 ER Large Laser
Manufacturer: Star League Weapons Research
Location: (Unknown)
Communications System: O/P COM-500
Targeting & Tracking System: Daemon Targeting System
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
==Overview:==
The "Daemon Project" was a research effort by the Star League to further
cement its mech-based dominance over the houses of the Inner Sphere. One of
the results was the Daemon Targeting Computer, an extremely sophisticated
system that allowed a 'mech equipped with it to place weapons fire much more
accurately than it could before.
==Capabilities:==
Certainly the defining feature of the Daemon-1 'mech was the Targeting
Computer, which not only allowed more accurate targeting in general, but gave
the pilot the ability to target specific parts of an enemy 'mech of vehicle,
enabling the Daemon-1 to disable enemies much more reliably, and therefore
increase the 'mechs efficiency on campaigns where ammunition and spare parts
may be at a premium. It also aided in strategic and tactical artillery
strikes, by allowing much more accurate targeting data to be relayed back to
the firing artillery.
As a test 'mech, the Daemon-1 had to be equipped with a variety of weaponry
covering all ranges, to allow greater quantities of data from a single test
run. The weaponry included a series of lasers, an autocannon, and a PPC.
==Deployment==
Unfortunately, only one Daemon-1 class 'mech was completed by the time of the
Amaris Coup, and it, along with the research facility it was stationed at, was
destroyed by Rim Worlds forces. No examples of the Daemon computer system were
thought to have survived, until the Clans returned with a much-modified
version centuries later.

40 views. (41) Probably, no one has thought of anything constructive. But I'll give it a shot.
It's not a bad design at all. But, as stated in the fluff, it's clearly a testbed. The tar comp burns lots of tonnage. Perfectly good for a test bed, and not terrible in combat, but I wouldn't want to be the one piloting it. My primary reservation is the AC/5; I dislike them, and with DHS you could probably pack in a second PPC. But the whole point is for a range of weapons, so you can't do that.
For what it is, I like it. Just don't fight real wars with it.

the mech has a ton load of double heatsinks that not using another PPC is a waste. The removal of the ac ammo can even add more double heatsinks if u decide to go ER with the PPCs.
