I also recommend increasing the AC/2 to an AC/3 and an AC/5 to an AC/7

Yes, make the AC/2 an AC/4, both were playtested and it works.
Also, I have recently decided to upgrade the heavier autocannons as well. I recommend increasing the range of the AC/10 to same as the PPC, wich lessens the too drastic contradiction that heavier guns have shorter range.
Granted, they have shorter range because of recoil issues, but taking into account that an AC/10 recoil is still controllable, not being such a big incremental leap from the AC/7 in power, it's only logic that it keeps the same range, (It should have more, but loses that advantage due to recoil), and is fitting from game balance purposes.
By the same reason, the AC/20 range should be increased to 12 hexes
Short 1- 4 Medium 5-8 Long 9-12
That would make the AC/20 more in accordance with the laws of ballistics and make it a true medium range weapon.

Thanks. I am making my own set of following-fire rules, but I didn't want to reinvent the wheel. AWAD's are a good reference, and nice to have around.

here we go with the add-ons...
in level one play, I think the ranges are O.K., and in level two play everyone takes the LB-X or Ultra versions, which have longer range anyway. I'd leave the AC/10 and AC/20 alone; they're powerful enough as is.

Day or two....... OK 60+, but with newborn, 2 weeks in Asia, new guy at work, O newborn, wife packing to leave for 3 months back to home land, newborn, big new program, my computer got infected bad, newborn, my time was nil. Plus I had to dig out my rules. I forgot my stuff was on the old comp, still have but is in serious cold storage.
So enough of the excuses, on to my following fire rules.
MG:0, +1,+2,+3
AC/2:0,+1,+2,+3
AC/2 Ultra: 0,+1,+1,+2,+2,+3,+3,+4
AC/5: 0, +2,+4
AC/5 Ultra: 0,+1,+2,+3,+4
LB & AC/10: 0, +3
LB & AC/20: 0, +5
Gauss: 0
Must declare at beging of fire phase. Each each additional round fired adds that much heat. Can not fire at multipile targets with that AC. LB can not swtich ammo between shots. Gun jams if you roll less than 2 + that specific follow shot modifier. Clearing a jam, walk only, no firing, base gunnery roll. Lost ammo depends on caliber of weapon.
