The mech is supposed to be cheaply made, thats why no endo, ferro-fib, or xl engine. The only advanced tech is in the weapons themselves.

Okay. Though the cost difference is minimal. 22,000 for regular structure, 88,000 for Endosteel. The 66,000 could be used for ammo and spare parts.

Alas, those 66k don't cover the cost of the orbital facility where you make the Endo Steel. A space station with factories, a few small craft to bring in raw materials and take away the produce, ehhh.

Most people dont know or care about the construction process of Endo, but you kinda have a point. Most facotories have access to endo pretty easy though, and the extra 66k covers it since its not just a one shot deal, they get the extra 66k for every skeleton made
