I did put up...you won't listen, so how about this, you give the idea I presented a try, or for that matter anyone can do the same and then when the game does come out, we can come the two ideas...
They can't stray that far from MK and expect the same group to buy MW...so the point is vaild.

No Karagin, you did not. All you did was rephrase what you originally said (apparently in the hopes that I'd be too stupid to see right through it--a false hope if ever there was one) and ask me to perform an "experiment" whose outcome would ONLY support your assertions. Camille, my concern isn't based on game mechanics. It is based on marketing.
it is being marketed to that same niche that buys Mage Knight. The teen with disposible income who is buying a fad. It isn't being marketed to the diehard fans that have stuck with the game for years.
Remember, those of us that were loyal followers of BattleTech got Fanpro only after Weissman decided to make Clickytech. We are an afterthought.

Sweetie, I'm not surrendering, especially not to someone like you. Now go back to the beginning and point out where I bitch about game mechanics. Now I will admit that I did touch on that later, but that was never the crux of my arguement.
It is not being marketed to us, but to the MageKnight crowd. And you can call me a liar all you want, but you can't find proof otherwise.
And as far as us being an afterthought, how many months was it between WhizKids getting BattleTech and Weissman finally telling us anything, especially that BattleTech would live on in CBT? If I recall it was sometime after the announcement of ClickyTech before they decided what to do with old BattleTech. Something about Gencon and them still not having made a decision.

Then, maybe, they'd stop wishing you'd step on a ******* land mind and we can get something productive out of this. Hell, you just want to win the argument along with Cadet and Kerrigan to prove that "I'm better". Nobody is required to show proof to hold their opinions. You are entitled to your opinion, everyone is. It doesn't matter if someone's opinion isn't good enough for someone else. However, nobody can FORCE an opinion onto another, they can only PERSUADE them. Now, apparently, that's not going to happen here. Anyways, THEY ARE JUST OPINIONS GODAMMIT! THEY ARE NOT FACTS! As for getting another productive thing out of this conversation, that's a lost cause if there was ever one. Time to lock the thread before the catfight starts up again on behalf of this post.
