Compuserve news (CNN) just reported that some theives attempted to steal a Krispy Kreme Donut truck, which was left running as the driver was in the process of making a delivery. As a result, the back door was left open, causing the donuts to fall out and leave a 15-mile trail for teh cops to find.

Playing D&D we used to drop food and gold to evade and escape monsterst that were chasing us. The theory that trolls or Ogres would stop to pick the stuff up and we'd put more distance between us. Maybe the thieves just wanted the truck, and were trying to lure the police with the donuts and foil the chase......

You're forgetting about the air units- it's not like they can land to pick them up.
But still.... 15 miles? You'd think that they would have noticed that they were dropping all that.
