==Overview:==
This new unit has just appeared for field testing within the ranks of the
Federated Suns. At this time we are not completely sure as to what this unit's
purpose is, but it appears to be some sort of fire-support unit.
The main armament is a RAC/2 with two tons of ammo and an ER Large laser, both
of which are turret-mounted. Supporting this assortment is an LRM 5, an SRM 4,
and a rear-mounted ER Small Laser. Although seeemingly average for a unit of
this size, it is the electronics package that is the main claim for the unit.
The unit boasts an Angel ECM system, a targeting computer, and a C3 Slave.
Standard deployment is for these units to be in lances. The lance commander's
mech will have a C3 Master in place of the C3 Slave and the TComp. The other
three lance members will be able to make use of the targeting benefits from
their targeting computers, while sending the other team members targeting feed
data via the C3 networks. The Angel ECM theoretically should help keep the
lance from being discovered until the members are in place. Should they be
discovered, the unit's near-maximum armor and turreted weapons should be
enough to extract the pilot from the situation.
==Variants:==
The LC unit is used by lance commanders. The LC drops the Targeting Computer
and the C3 Slave for a C3 Master unit. Note that in the process, the ER Small
Laser is moved from the rear torso into the head of the unit.
