I played this game last night...I got the crap kicked out of me though. I was the Clan player here.
Clans: Mad Cat C
Vulture Prime
Black Hawk A
Inner Sphere (all 3025 tech)
Heavy Lance
Atlas
Warhammer-D
Archer-K
Orion
Light Lance
Shadowhawk
Hunchback
Locust
Locust
I started the game at long range, and managed to drop the Hunchback, a Locust, and disarmed the Orion (both literally and in the sense of disabling all of its offensive capabilities). I put a severe hurting on the Shadowhawk, Archer, and Atlas too. I got hung up in a swamp though and my Blackhawk and Vulture got crushed in a pincer maneuver. The Mad Cat managed to slip off, and I sniped at long range until my ammo ran out, taking out the second Locust in the process, and then withdrew from the field. I would have had them on open terrain though.

| Six maps...two swamp maps right smak in the middle of the board, the big lake, a smaller lake, a mountain map, and another one which was mostly rolling hills and lignt woods.

I thought I had all the maps and I have never seen swamps. Anyone wanna design the NO-LA Cajun Mech?

With all that water around the mech, heat shouldn't be much of a factor.
maybe a mech with jumpjets and beam weapons (PPCs)?

I picture the Cajun being a 50-55 Ton mech with a body shape like the jenner and locust, so that the legs are long enough so that it does not get stuck in the marsh like a traditional mech would. Either that or a nasty trudging brawler galumphing through the swamp. I might have to play with that when I get time.

now there is an idea. That would require writing up rules for the jaw. I can just imagine a 4-legger that barely peeks its weapons above the swamp water and biting someones leg off.
