So you hockey nuts, I'm curious why the Bruins are playing such good hockey so far this year. Was this predicted? Were they expected to be a good team? Because I never heard a whole lot about anything (being in Red Sox country, that's not a surprise). But they actually seem somewhat fun to watch this year. What's going on?

They're a good team because they have "bought into" the system that Mike Sullivan wants them to play, which is a more wide-open style that most NHL teams are not using.
Plus it helps to have 2 goaltenders that are playing extremely well.
For those that watched last night's game vs the Canucks (and for some reason I think that group may include just myself  ) you saw what the NHL is supposed to be like...hard hits, great end to end action, 2 goaltenders making the stops they should (and a few they shouldn't have), and no clutching and grabbing that ruining the game IMO.
Plus the 2 refs didn't get in the way...they let the 2 best teams in the NHL play the game and decide the winner on the ice.

I've got to agree with Chihawk on this one, it seems to me that what you've got is a team! The Bruins are working together, and their goally rocks (which counts for a lot. Merrimack College, a division 1 Hockey East team did very well last season with their goal tender, who was unfortanitly knocked down by a BC player, however, the confidence that a good goally will inspire in the players is not to be underrated. Go Warriors!!!!)
On another side note, the Warriors kicked the Huskies ass in an excellent game two weeks ago, so I'm very happy right now!!
