Ever since my group broke up. I went over my GM's XP points for me and my pilots. I have so busy with my workload and personnel life. I did not keep very records of of who did what when.
The GM sent me my gamming records for the last 4 years. After pouring through them all weekend. (Sorry about forgetting about the PBEM game chihawk. I'll send in oders next time.) I found that one unit (The 114th Gatekeeper cluster, Tau Galaxy, 3 binaries) Had enough points to go from Vet status to Elite status. With 14 1/2 pilots.
It really did change the dinamics of our game. Because of the location of that unit.
Why am I telling this to you? One simple reason. Keep track of your records. I had a elite unit that could have kicked some butt. And did not even know it. And to brag about it. (OK two reasons.)

Chihawk our Master Bartender here runs a great PBeM game. You must send two emails/week to be involved (if/when he has room) That doesn't really take up too much free time. (for us not him) The ongoing game is getting close to starting it's final phase. He's also posted a possibility of running another game entitled BattleTech Maximus.
