Just a little reminder for veterans, and a pointer for newbies: Not all the variants in the Record Sheets come from the TROs. Note the Charger-SB, as I've mentioned below.

Others are the LL Hermes II, called the Hermes III. This is part of a refit program run by the Ostman works, the manufacturers of the Ost-mechs (as well as the Black Knight if the new TRO:3025 is to be believed). The fluff for it is in Sorenson's Sabres.

Also in that volume is the AC-5/PPC Trebuchet. Which is basically a field-refit for the Sword of Light regiments.

Another interesting specimen is one of the Hunchback variants: The one with the SRMs and extra medium lasers. That is a unique 'mech, refitted by a Liao Mechwarrior, not a standard variant like all the others. This was mentioned under the Pilot data in the Original TRO:3025.

Same thing for one of the MG-Victors, I forget which one, the one with or without flamers. One is a variant, basically the first production model. The other one is a personal (and as such: unique) refit by a mechwarrior.

Any others out of RS:3025?

One other example that strikes me: This is not something that is lost or rare, but a fact that many people are likely to overlook: The Orion-V and -VA. I would love to see it printed as -Va, because, looking at the fluff, the -V was the first attempt to create an Orion with more short-range firepower. Which failed due to overtaxing the battle-computer. This is represented in the record sheets by the reduced armour. The -VA is the production variant with no LRMs, full armour and extra heat sinks. THIS is the variant that books talk about (for instance the old Marik Sourcebook with its production facility for Orion-Vs). So yeah, just a little prattle on about how the -V and the -VA are BOTH the -V, just one is the prototype (and as such, once again, should be considered ultra-rare, if not unique) and the other is the production model!
