Better put all of your warriors in pressure suits. We played 4 scenarios of Mechs in Space and they were tthe bloodiest, highest casualty fights I eversaw. 1 Breach disables the whole section (lasing cells explode due to internal pressure, coolant and lube boils, destroying other stuff in the process, Electronics start working weird, etc.) This in turn severely hampers the ability to fight. a hit to anything has a chance of a breach, but no armor= a breach in most cases. 1 Head hit=death chance for the warrior if a Breach roll results in a breach.

Casey and I set up a big scenario in a vacuum at a Total Con a long time ago.. .1 G .. It was a rather fun battle.. I think Glenn shocked everyone when he ran his shadowhawk 50 hexes in the second turn to get behind one of his opponent's mechs, then failed his pilot skill roll and utterly destroyed his mech.
After that no-one would move very quickly.

the bloodiest battle i was in was a lam battle in a space cave. the battle lasted about two hours and about 4 turns. 1 lam survived but was pretty much scrap. i lost that one

I remember a game a few years ago that me and Ronin were playing with some people he ran into. I had the LB-X mod Hollander. It seemed like every third or fourth time that I fired cluster I got a head hit with at least one pellet. It's all in the dice (especially considering that the Austin Monte Diablo group scored an ungodly 30 head shots.)

It could have been worse; there was always the head shot Ronin took- a Guass Rifle slug to the head of his Hussar (first time he'd been hit, too!) lol.

I heard there was a very large number of head hits in every MD location...

How many are you talking about, or did you ever hear anything resembling a set number? As it was, I know that I was using dice that kinda hated me that day.
