Does anyone have any idea of the Battle Value of a technician at the various levels of experience?

I am certain I have seen them somewhere, I just can't remember where.

I know their C-Bill value/cost, their skill number, the hours they put in, and the MP they generate, but still their BV eludes me...

Anyone able to help?

Only equipment has a BV (or a multiplier for BV), so a tech would have no BV.

A regular foot infantry platoon has a BV of 23, and that's 28 fully equipped and armed soldiers...

The equipment has a BV of 23, the soldiers have a BV of 0 themselves.

Sure, sort of. Together they have a BV of 23. Throw the equipment out there with no soldiers and you get nothing. So I think it's more a combination of things. Sure, technically the equipment is what is providing the BV, but the people are what carry the equipment.

A Clan ERLL has a BV of 249 even if it's not connected to anything

Game mechanically it's the equipment that has the BV.

Taking in to account the fact that pilot skill affect the BV of mechs aerospace and tanks that would seem to imply that the human factor IS a relevant componant of the equasion

Well, I just wanted to point out that technicians probably aren't worth very much in BV. Someone with no armor and a small pistol/revolver as personal sidearm has no business on a battlefield. Just count the techs as non-combatants, will you?

The "human factor" is the BV multiplier for P/G scores for mechs and vehicles. Unarmed soldiers have no BV.

So if you use a Clan ERLL as a club, does the BV still count?

I would certainly think that you *should* count in the human factor of anyone strong enough to lift a weapon that big by themselves, let alone use it as a club Talk about someone you don't want to bump into ina dark alley at night...

Would he/she fit into that dark alley?????

If a Mech used a Clan ERLL as a club, would it BV be counted?

As dumb as this sounds, yes.

What if using that as a club during battle, and it lifted your BV over the Max would that be grounds for a forfeit?
