Chandra has had to pull out of TotalCon and there are 2 slots that are open to run games should anyone that's going wish to run a Battletech scenario in them.
The slots are:
Friday 1pm to 5pm
Sunday 8am to Noon.
I have events to run in those slots but will be glad to "step aside" to allow someone going to the convention to run a game. Both events were for 16 players so your event should be for that many.
Either e-mail me or just tell me at the convention...you get in "free" for the day you run but we'll have to take care of any refund on the weekend when MikeC is there since your event won't be in the pre-reg book.

Sounds tempting, but I'm not sure what's involved in running a game at a convention rather than at a gaming store.
For which, I'd be interested in running one in the Friday slot otherwise.

It's very simple. Hand people their 'mechs, tell them the rules, and then just be a GM. Make the game progress and resolve disputes. Very simple. The best part is, if you run an event, you get 1 day for that weekend free. If you run 3, you don't pay an entry fee for the whole weekend. _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

Well, if there isn't anything special involved, I think I can do it then. Just have to round something up for it.
When you say free, that means entry fee and events? Or is that just one or the other?

Even GMs pay for the events they play in
You'd get your entry fee for the day refunded, but like I said we'd have to take care of that over the weekend.

Does that mean if you play in your own game, that you'd have to pay even for that? Now that just seems silly
Ok, so I get there and just tell them I'm there to play the replacement game, find you guys, or just go set up my stuff?

heh, thanks. I considering I wasn't fully prepared for it, I think it went pretty well (I was missing a few record sheets so I had to substitute).
As for the refund thing, I don't think it's really that big of a deal anyways now. I had fun. That's all I care about. Though I was really iching to play Maximus . Oh well. Wait till next year I guess.

Will probably be doing Maximus as PBeM (Play By e-Mail) again after the current game finishes....I'll make sure to give you a head's up for it.

Yes, and the next round of Maximus will have more limitations. For one thing, only lights and mediums will be allowed. No heavies or assaults. It is suppose to be a race, after all, and not a slugfest. _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

Not counting chris of course.

Heh, that's cool. I had a light mech ready for the game anyways. I wouldn't mind taking it up against a Heavy or Assault. Makes things interesting. Of course, I guess that all depends on how many people are playing as well.
