								| I have come to the conclusion that Protomechs (For the lack of a better word) bites.
slow moveing,no real firepower,no armor, and only 4 of them fit in one hex. and you can't use the swarm rules.

The only bright spot is the (near miss) on the hit location table. But even those are are bad at a 3 or a 11.

But that's justmy opinion that I thought I would share

								| I agree. The old rules (unofficial) for 5, 10 ,15 ton Ultralight mechs were much more useful.

								| They are to fill in a place that needs no fill in. BA -> Mech... We don't need no stinkin' Protmechs....

								| 5 tonners? The last I checked those rules only covered 10 and 15 tonners.
Fortunately, I copied down the entire armor/structure chart out of the Compendium before they altered things.

								| slow? no armor or weapons? They're all faster than BAs and most are faster than most mechs. They also carry alot more armor and weapons than BAs. And if you use custom protos, you can come up with some fairly nasty designs. | |

								| I think you are right. I recall that when they came out everyone thought they were munchkiny, but I just thought they were munchy (as in the sound they would make under the feet of a mech). I have never had the chance to use them, but thats okay. Their weaknes is apparent.

								| Yes you are correct, no 5 tonners.
