As some of you may or may not have experienced over the last month or so, there have been occasional issues where the site will be unavailable for a period of time. This was mostly due to some poor database memory settings which led to the database using far more memory than it should have, causing the overall server usage to spike at close to 100%. This naturally led to all sorts of crappy things. After reviewing I realized I was on an older plan and decided to upgrade to a newer plan which gives me twice the allotted memory. After 24 hours the server seems steady and all the errors I was getting have not resurfaced. I'll keep an eye on it, but that should hopefully resolve issues. As an added bonus, the allotted disk space was doubled along with an increase in CPUs. So, things do seem slightly nimbler, or at least to me.
In addition, I just rolled out patch 2.26.16. There is nothing earth shattering, but I started to make some tweaks to force management with an eye to add additional features, as well as tweaking how some are done so they are easier to maintain. Here's what is included with this last update.
Fixes- Fixed an issue where the processing dialog was not displayed when filtering within the Add Units screen when looking to add a unit to a force.
Changes- Added the ability to select which network a C3 is part of when modifying unit details. A new option for 'C3 Network' is now available on the Unit tab when modifying the details for a specific unit. The default network for existing units in a force have been defaulted to 'A', but users can change them from A through G. The BattleValue for C3 within a force will now account for which network the C3 is in. So if your force has 4 units in B and 4 units in A, the proper BV will be added to those units only within the same network.
NOTE: Any units impacted by the above fixes and/or changes have had their stats recalculated to ensure accuracy.
