Some of you know the history of which I am about to speak...and for others, this will ne a first history lesson in the recent (3 years) of the Bar and Grill....
AN INTERVIEW WITH TALEN TSENG
Well, the first time I came to this place...it wasnt this place at all. It was grey and blue...and "Another One Bites The Dust" was always playing. It got on my nerves, but it was cool. I didnt have time to stay, so I came back a few weeks later, and the place was gone...amazing. How does a shady bar simply pick up and move? Well, I looked across the street, and Mordel had opened a newer bar. SO i went there instead, and found it much to my liking.
Back in the first days, I was such a newbie. I had played Battletech before, had the game, but I didnt know much...so I just started randomly posting crap...like my Gausszilla with 4 gauss rifles *shudders*. it took me a while, but I got used to the place, and I even staked out a table to sit in. I remember getting into long conversations with Ruger about 'mech designs and Anime and weapons. Then something happened that changed the board forever...
I met Vampire. And by met I mean one day he walked into the bar, shot Ruger a lot and then i attacked Vampire for the hell of it, starting a long fued that would lead to me being his personal servant. Raven got involved somehow...and Vampire had me try and kill this other guy. I am not sure how many innocent civilians we killed in that first of many battles...but I remember somethign about dropping a Union Class dropship on to his Battlearmor to get him to shut up.
Things calmed down after a while...and somewhere in that time the firt use of the term "Mordel's Bar and Grill" was coined, by none other than your's truly. SOme monkeys attacked after that...and a war insued...Raven partially led the defeat of the Simian armies...and I chose then to attack.
I formed, under the LEadership of the King of Worms, the Dark Brotherhood...full of the undead and ninjas. Raven awnsered with the Brotherhood of Insufficent Light...BOIL was my arch nemesis then...Raven and Gangrene my rivals. We fought and fought and fought...neither gaining the upper hand in a battle that saw more random violence than a Monty Python movie. It was mostly because of us that Mordel issued a no weapons policy later on. We think he was pissed off by having to order doors and windows all the time (though whoever broke it had to pay for it). Yeah...back in those days if a person didnt walk in with at least a pair of 9mm...they were thrown out.
After BOIL defeated the Dark Brotherhood, Talen kept it low...until his evil clone appeared. The two of us fought a long time and kept people really really confused. The battle ended with the real Talen winning, and killing the evil Talen.
Then...IT happened. A terrible fire, earthquake and tornado wiped Mordel's off the face of the planet...it was a sad sad day. Via Ruger, Cadet and Storm I was able to get people into the temporary shelter while I constructed the "Talen's Repair Bay". The place held us for a few months while Ravenheart built the massive War Room. The Repair Bay's lease ran up (or something) so we moved to the War Room...and out of nowhere people began to show up again.
Then Mordel had an announcement...Mordel's was back up and running. We flocked to the old/new board and things were good.
There has been a lot of redecorating since then....but the "Board" was officially changed to be the Bar and Grill. Friends and evil people have come and gone. I have seen the days of Cadet, Storm, Ravenheart, MEX (snicker), Old Dog, JAG, and ICER. I miss them all, but there are pleanty of friends at the B&G still....

Ah those were the days . . .
Oh and Mordel, if it is even remotely possible that you offered him $22,000 I would pay him, he called it crap, and for that he should be BANNED PERMANTENTLY

Talen drags out a holo-clip of AlexxKnight talking to someone about the bar...
"Yeah...I hate the place," Alexx says quietly. "The only reason I go there is cause I know a few people. The place sucks, the owner is mean to me and the bar-keeper smells like toe-nails"
Talen smiles evily to Alexx and puts a finger against his own lips "Shhh"

When did you show up? Was it early 2000? Ah, the memories. Any of you remember that HUGE flame war we had when Mordel was not supervising and he ended up shutting down the place for a few days after he got back?
And of course the BOIL/Brotherhood wars that raged across Outreach . . . poor Wolf's Dragoons. But that's all gone now.
