Speed is average, weapons are awesome for close range and it can fire constantly 90 percent of its weapons potential, I have no idea what are you talking about.

Introductory tech design.
Speed:
Speed is average for a medium BattleMech at the time that is focused more on armor and weapons.
Firepower:
It’s a Hunchback, so they are, at the time, typically somewhat limited on long-range firepower.
8 medium lasers (and one small laser) is quite heavy firepower for the time. That’s 40 points of damage on a 50 ton design. Not bad at all.
Heat:
8 medium lasers generate 24 points of heat when all are fired together (plus 1 heat if you add the small laser). Walking generates 1 heat; running 2.
It has 23 heat sinks, four of which are in the legs. So it can get rid of virtually all the heat from those medium lasers each turn if it stands still. It can do this for four turns with no penalties.
It’s only at +3 heat if they are fired at a run. It can do this once, drop a medium lasers, and cool down enough that turn to fire all its mediums and run the following turn and be at +4 heat with no penalties.
Standing or moving in depth 1 water also helps heat dissipation due to those leg mounted heat sinks.
Or you can do like most 3025 pilots did, and learn to ride the heat curve. With no ammo-based weapons, you don’t have to worry about ammo explosions, so building up heat just affects movement, adds a targeting penalty and makes you occasionally worry about auto-shutdown chances. Meanwhile, you have enough firepower to eviscerate your enemies. Kill them quickly enough, and you can worry about cooling down later.
Yeah, I’m not the biggest fan of the lack of longer ranged weapons, but the 4P is not a weak design by any stretch of the imagination. It could one-shot a Timber Wolf if it got lucky on its to hit rolls and hit placement rolls, and then its crit rolls.
