Hello again!

As some of you may know, I'm currently writing up a bunch of custom lore and info for some homebrew factions I've made over the years. While doing so, I've realized that there is not a snowflake's chance in hell that I could do justice to the various people that may have joined them over the decades.

This is where you (everyone still reading this) come in!
I think it'd be fun if the 'outsiders' who joined the Blackshield Company were made by people outside of the lore (I.E. not me). I will be laying down some ground rules below to act as guidelines for you all but besides that, all simply take your time, write your part and we'll go over the details together.

Whenever a character is "Approved", I will list them and their lore at the bottom of this post. I will also include a link in my original thread that leads here for ease of access without over-cluttering that one.

The guidelines are as follows:
1. Only one entity per user. A single mechwarrior, mercenary, pilot, etc. If you want to have multiple people, please keep them as one unified entity such as a single mercenary lance, a single company of infantrymen, etc. and try to keep it coherent.

2. Try not to clash against the pre-established lore too much. I don't mind if you go a bit ham inventing unlikely scenarios, after all that's the whole point, but please try to keep it somewhat consistent with what I've written.

3. Ask if you're unsure. Not everyone has the time to comb through my ever-increasing amount of paragraphs and infodumps and that's fine. If you just want to ask something, do so and I will answer as best I can.

4. Nobody's perfect. At the end of the day, these are people who left everything behind to live in a distant star system with people they've likely known for less than a year. It is unlikely that someone who's at the top of the world would do such a thing, though there can be exceptions if they are written right.

5. The time frame is anywhere from 3048 to 3081. This is the only somewhat strict guideline, though only on the side of 3048. If you want your character to be from a bit later than 3081, that is fine but please keep it before 3090.

6. Changes will occur. I think it's unreasonable to expect people to somehow make a perfect fit on the first try, especially before we have some solid examples to work with. As such, I will be pointing out things that I think might need adjusting to better fit the lore. Mind you, I do not intend to just change your writings; I will simply try to work with you to make something we both like.

That's all!
I've no idea if anyone will even bother with this but if you do, I look forward to working with you and seeing what you can come up with![/b]
