Overview:
    SMA made exactly one attempt at the Land-Air Mech concept due to seeing that a few Great
    Houses and a few independent factories were trying their hand at the rather unique (but
    hopeless), new type of war machine. Surprisingly artistic in its design the PHR-6X "Phenari"
    looks more like an Aerospace Fighter than a Battlemech, even when in land mode. Realizing
    quickly that the nature of a transformable frame would leave little to space for armor or
    weapons, the "Dark Forge" designers focused on accurate and sustained firepower and leaned
    on trusted components. Billed as a scout, the PHR-6X is actually rather capable in combat,
    able to reliably skirmish with opponents and deal reliable damage. It's transformation speed
    is rather fast, and an often deployed tactic by pilots is to make a small hop with over a
    target then making the sift into aerospace mode, providing a quick get away or shift to a
    more advantageous position. While the use of known and accessible parts helped keep some
    development cost down, the use of an entirely new Composite frame promptly drove the cost
    back up. While the cheapest 'mech to come out of the "Black Forge," its production run was
    very limited, and replacement parts are only manufactured to order. It is seen more often in
    SMA "Legal Enforcement" lances, utilized as a first strike or screening force for dropships.
    When one finds a "Phenari" outside of SMA, they are often collector pieces or an offhand
    purchase for one of the lesser known mercenary companies.
